Evening visit to Spitalfields area, London, East End

Reminded me of East Berlin, lots of trendy bars and galleries  with added attraction of early Georgian houses . Difficult to photograph in the dark. Noted down for return daylight visit.

Particular thrill for me to stumble upon the Whitechapel Gallery where I had worked on the audit when I lived in London. Looking very grand now and world famous. I remember it as under funded and a bit run down. Although I did get to meet Ian Berry of Magnum when he was working on his original Whitechapel project, now well documented and acclaimed.
